Join hundreds of volunteers at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Oakland for the launch of My Brother’s Keeper (MBK). We are partnering with the City of Oakland and the OSUD Office of Equity to celebrate MBK.
This is an opportunity to gather with fellow artists and activists for mural painting and community building alongside our Artmobile!
In 2014, President Obama launched My Brother’s Keeper and issued a powerful call to action to close opportunity gaps facing boys and young men of color. The initiative sparked candid dialogue and action around the country to help more of our young people reach their dreams, regardless of their race, gender, or socioeconomic status.
The launch is on Mondays, February 18th; a two-day conference featuring President Obama, John Legend and Stephen Curry will follow on February 19th and 20th.
The Artmobile is available for festivals, community events and mural installations. Learn More.
